About Arthritis In Childhood
Arthritis and related musculo-skeletal conditions are the most common chronic and long-term medical illnesses and are the leading cause of disability among people aged 15 years and older. There is no known cause, and no cure.
Arthritis is not a condition of old age. Of those who have a musculo-skeletal condition, as many as 1 in 1000 children are affected, with some studies showing figures to be as high as 1 in 250.
