About Schizophrenia
Schizophrenia and other psychotic illnesses interfere with the ability to think, act and feel. When acutely ill, a person may lose contact with reality. The symptoms are often very distressing for people affected and those who care for them.
While there is no cure for schizophrenia and other psychotic illnesses, they are treatable. With early diagnosis and effective treatment and support, those affected are able to get on with their lives in the community.
This 'Speaking From Experience' DVD features nine people who share their experiences of living with this complex condition.
